Wireless Card Will Not Associate
Your wireless connection requires a network
identifier called an SSID in order to use our access
points. If your wireless card will not associate, it is
most likely because your SSID is typed incorrectly.

If you have a Cisco-Aironet Wireless card do
the following:
1. Go
to Start | Programs | Cisco Systems | Aironet
Client Utility.
2. Go
to the Command menu and select Edit Properties
3. On
the first screen that appears, double check your
SSID.
4. If
your SSID is typed in correctly, contact us at
(970) 522-8107.
If
you have a Linksys Card do the following:
(note - we no longer distribute Linksys
Cards)
1. On
the taskbar where your clock is find the icon
for the Linksys Configuration Utility and double
click it to open.
2.
Double check your SSID.
3. If
your SSID is typed in correctly, contact us at
(970) 522-8107. |
Other things
that may cause your wireless card to fail to associate
would be a kink in or damage to your wireless cable,
obstruction of line-of-sight (trees, buildings) to the
access point, improper mounting of your antenna, or use
of too long a cable (signal loss in the cable) or too
small an antenna.
Wireless Card Associates, But
Internet Will Not Work
If the card associates but still will not bring up
webpages or e-mail, you may want to double check your
TCP/IP settings.
In these
instances, you should call our support number and speak
with a technician.
Slow Speeds
The following things can cause slow connections:
Obstructions
in your line-of-sight (trees, buildings, hills)
Extremely dense fog or heavy precipitation
Bad or loose connectors on your cable (contact us for
this problem)
Viruses
If you are not
experiencing any of the above problems, contact us at
(970) 522-8107.
